Refund & Cancellation Policy

Important: Refund eligibility depends on the fare type purchased and the airline's own cancellation policy. Always check your booking confirmation for fare conditions.

1. Cancellation Requests

All cancellation requests must be made in writing by email to info@thetripfinders.com or by calling 020 8150 4441 during business hours. Verbal cancellation requests are not valid.

The date and time of your cancellation request is considered the cancellation date. We will confirm receipt of your cancellation request in writing.

2. Refundable vs Non-Refundable Tickets

Refundable tickets: Where a refundable fare has been purchased, you are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price (less any applicable airline cancellation fees and our service charge of £25 per person).

Non-refundable tickets: Most economy fares are non-refundable. In this case, you may only be entitled to a refund of airport taxes and government charges, minus our processing fee of £15 per person.

Partially refundable tickets: Some fares permit a partial refund. The exact amount will be confirmed upon cancellation request.

4. Airline Cancellations & Schedule Changes

If an airline cancels your flight or makes a significant schedule change (generally more than 3 hours), you are entitled under UK law to:

  • A full refund to the original payment method; or
  • Re-routing to your destination on the earliest available flight; or
  • Re-routing at a later date at your convenience.

We will contact you promptly if we become aware of a cancellation or significant change affecting your booking.

5. Refund Processing Times

Once a refund has been approved and processed by the airline, please allow the following timeframes:

  • Credit/Debit cards: 5–10 business days
  • Bank transfers: 3–5 business days
  • Original payment method: Refunds are always returned to the original payment method

Please note that TheTripFinders has no control over the time taken by airlines to process refunds. Some airlines may take up to 12 weeks.

6. Service Fees

Our service and administration fees are non-refundable in all circumstances. These fees are separate from the airline ticket price and cover the cost of our booking and support services.
